Battery

The battery found in electric forklifts is designed to provide power for the vehicle during a single workshift. The energy is returned to the battery during its charge cycle. The individual battery component is called a cell. The battery usually consists of a number of cells connected in series. The cells store energy chemically and change this to electrical energy with use. The number of cells required depends on the voltage requirements (measured in volts). The battery capacity is provided in Ampere hours Ah.

In order to protect your investment never discharge the battery more then 80%. Charge the battery only after substantial use - standard lead acid batteries have a life cycle that is determined by the number of charge / discharge cycles.
